About the Role
Production Manager with strong VFX pipeline understanding, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate artists, supervisors, and clients. Must be capable of planning shot workflows, tracking production progress, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining industry-quality standards.
Requirements
Hands-on VFX Pipeline Experience – Prior experience working inside a VFX or animation production pipeline (Roto, Prep, Matchmove, CG, FX, Lighting, Compositing). Candidates should understand how shots move through departments and the dependencies between them.
Shot Planning & Task Breakdown – Ability to break down sequences into manageable tasks, estimate timelines, allocate artists, and track shot progress from bid stage to final delivery.
Production Tracking Tools – Proficiency with industry production tools such as ShotGrid (Shotgun), Ftrack, Trello, or similar pipeline tracking systems, along with strong spreadsheet and reporting skills.
Schedule & Deadline Management – Experience managing complex shot schedules, ensuring artists meet milestones while maintaining quality standards expected in film, OTT, or advertising projects.
Artist Coordination & Resource Management – Ability to coordinate between VFX supervisors, CG leads, compositors, and other departments to balance workloads and remove bottlenecks in the pipeline.
Client Communication & Reporting – Comfortable communicating with clients and internal leadership, preparing status reports, and organizing review sessions, deliveries, and feedback cycles.
Understanding of VFX Technical Workflow – Familiarity with common VFX tools and processes (e.g., Nuke, Maya, Houdini, matchmove workflows, render pipelines, versioning, QC and delivery formats).
Problem Solving Under Production Pressure – Ability to anticipate pipeline issues, manage last-minute changes, and maintain calm coordination during high-pressure delivery schedules.
